Hoodlums Invade Abuja Warehouse, Loot Food Items

A gang of hoodlums wreaked havoc on a government storage facility in Gwagwa town, nestled within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The facility, under the jurisdiction of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), became a target for intruders who pillaged the stockpiled food supplies.

The unsettling episode unfolded at approximately 7am in the Tasha area, as these culprits audaciously seized bags of maize and grain.

The brazen looting continued unabated until 9 am, attracting residents from nearby Jiwa and Karmo towns who shamelessly joined in the unlawful activity.

This wasn’t the first time the warehouse faced such criminality; it had previously fallen victim during the COVID-19 lockdown.

On this occasion, the hoodlums made off with grain bags and essential pumping machines intended for intervention efforts.

In the aftermath of the raid, the disorderly group redirected their actions towards the Idu Industrial Estate, where a mix of private and government-owned warehouses awaited their destructive presence
